My real name is actually Danielle Bronson
and in live a suburb of Rochester NY with my awesome husband
Dylan and my two small boys, Tanner and Kellan. I went to School at
St. Lawrence University and worked as a physical education teacher
in the local Catholic school diocese before having my kids five
years ago. I always have liked to write. I think that comes from
being a TV addict at such a young age and trying to change the
ending of shows that I didn't like. I think I wrote a whole
seasons-worth of Punky Brewster stories. In Crayola crayons of
course!
My
degree from college is English and I have written non-fiction mostly
since graduation.. My TV addiction as a child has carried over into
my adult hood and sparked me into writing fanfiction. My favorite
shows to write? Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Bones, and the best show of
all times MOONLIGHTING. Actually a few fellow writers and I wrote
virtual seasons of Moonlighting. You can still catch them at
DavidandMaddie.com
If TV is one
of my addictions than athletics is the other. I was a downhill ski
racer since I was five and competed Division I in college. I have
played all of the following competitively at one point or another:
tennis, field hockey, swimming, diving, soccer, softball and a few I
am sure I am forgetting. I have also coached all different teams
including my a synchronized swim team that competes at the national
level. I also play golf non-stop over the short New York summers. I
have a five handicap (but thanks to by iron play, it is on the way
up)
As you can see
writing and athletics are my favorite things and its cool when I can
put them together. A lot of my fiction stuff so far has an element
of the notion that a talent can be not only a huge blessing, but an
enormous burden. I also think athletes as a rule are passionate
and driven people. Those are also qualities that make a provocative
character in a romance novel. At least in my opinion.
So, now that you know
about me, I would love to hear from you. Don't be afraid to drop me
a line!
